12. Tapioca Lounge Logo

Title: Tapioca Lounge Logo
Year: 2009
Dimensions: 6 ft x 6 ft

This is logo I made for a smoothie shop in mid 2009. I had the chance for this job opportunity - they wanted to have a logo that was family friendly. Something that was colorful or would attract children's eyes. I sketched designs and ideas for a day then finalized this on photoshop the next day. It was successful made into a 6ft by 6ft logo on the shopping center.

9. The Study of Figure

Title: The Study of Figure
Year: Summer 2008
Dimensions: 17 in x 24 in
Medium: Charcoal

This piece was a quick draw from my Parsons Summer Intensive Studies course for Drawing and Painting. We were learning how to shade and highlight the shapes/figures/proportions of different shaped bodies.

8. Mr. Love

Title: Mr. Love
Year: Late 2009
Dimensions: 14 in x 16 in
Medium: Pencil and Ebony
Mr. Love is an amazing and also the oldest substitute at my school. When we were given the assignment to draw intimate behavior, I knew that Mr. Love would be the greatest subject because of his age and because he brings so much to his students - I wanted to give something back. I incorporated all the detail I could into this piece to give it almost a photographic feel. Instead of color, I chose black and white because these colors are clean and simple. It's honest and shows the true person.

7. Discarded

Title: Discarded
Year: 2009
Dimensions: 16 in x 21 in
Medium: Prismacolor Pencils
Everything on this planet has a special quality that makes it stand out - whether if it's decaying or just plain beautiful. "Discarded" was discovered by me when I saw a pile of pipes pushed against a wall. On the pipes or between them were dust, trash, dirt, corrosion - the mix was interestingly beautiful.

6. Within the Walls

Title: Within the Walls
Year: 2010
Dimensions: 3456 x 2304
Medium: Photography

Winter completely froze the fountain outside my house until the warm weather came and started melting the icicles. The yellow and blue on the icicles mirrors the sun and the sky; and as you take a closer look at the fountain, past the walls of ice, you'll see that spring has come.
